Summer Life Devotions | week5

Over the course of the summer, we are doing summer devotionals together as one church! Every week, we will post seven scriptures, each with a thought and a prayer you can pray. Easy to add to your current devotional life and something we can share over the summer.

DAY 29

You make known to me the path of LIFE;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 16:11 NIV

Thought : His presence is where we find Him nudging us in the right direction, His still voice gives us paths. These paths are full of joy, life and eternal pleasures.

Pray : For the people in your world, your Group, your colleagues, your extended family, that they would know the path of life and the joy it brings.

DAY 30

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
Revelation 22: 1

Thought: Here, the apostle John had a vision where God’s angel revealed a promise. Do you believe that God can fill you with the river of the water of life?

Pray: To be filled with the Holy Spirit and for river of water of life to flow through us.

DAY 31

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Matthew 6:25-26

Thought: We do not worry about any situation, because God will take care of us. This is His promise and He never fails. He is faithful.

Pray: For the needs you have by trusting Jesus. Pray for your eyes to be open to see what he has done in your life.

DAY 32

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
Psalm 63:3

Thought: The Lord’s love is abundant and infinite. His grace is sufficient for us. We have access to Him anywhere and anytime.

Pray: Give thanks to the Lord because he is faithful, good and merciful all the time.

DAY 33

I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.
Psalm 119:93

Thought : Walk in obedience and pursue his precepts, for they will protect us and keep us in the right path.

Pray: For God to give us opportunity to share Him today with people who are far from Him..

DAY 34

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
Revelation 22:17

Thought: Here the bible describes the church as the Bride, we are His church and His body. Jesus is coming back soon, are you ready for Him?

Pray: For all our leaders in Church for their families, health and well-being.  ‘Come’ to Him today and let Him refresh you with His life.

DAY 35

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:11

Thought : Jesus is our good shepherd, He tends to His flock. But he also raises people to take care of his sheep here on Earth.

Pray : For our Senior Pastors today, Steve & Lizby Warren, for their family, health and well-being.  Pray for salvation today in Church.
